Is version 25 a lot slower?

I just upgraded most of my computers to version 25. Is it a lot slower than the previous version? It seems that LL tests were taking about 2 months on this computer (a dual core Athlon). Now one of them is over 68% done, and it is scheduled to finish in mid-January, which would mean that it is running about 3 times slower. Could that be right?

Prime95 v25 is not any faster or slower than v24.
Perhaps the estimate is bad. Check the time on iterations and see if that would suggest a correct time (and/or, if you recall or can check v24's iteration times, compare them).
If that confirms it's now slower, check that prime95.exe is getting 99% CPU usage in Task Manager. If it's not, see if you can fix interferences or Prime95's priority or affinity to fix it so it is.

It is using 98-99% of the CPU. The estimate in Status was bad. This morning they are showing mid December instead of mid Jan. Calculating one from the iteration time, if is going to be quicker than that - 20.6 days. So all is well, except the estimate under Status.

It was probably, for some reason, expecting it to take a very long time (mid Jan), but is now seeing that it really won't be that long and adjusting the estimate accordingly. It should average out to be even more accurate pretty soon. (Prime95 has a RollingAverage thing that it adjusts that adjusts the estimate based on how fast you're going vs how fast it thought you'd go, and that apparently was way off and is being adjust to be correct.)
