A am not qualified to peer review the following article that I just read in Academia.edu.
I am convinced (but not even close to proving it) that there are indeed infinite pairs of Twin Primes. OTOH I don’t believe it is going to be simple or straightforward finding a proof. Based on that ONLY I am skeptical of the proof on the following article. Your instincts are good. It's total nonsense. There are many, many red flags before you even start reading the "proof".

I suppose the author's previously having published proofs of the Riemann Hypothesis and Fermat's last Theorem - in the same publication, of course - might also be grounds for skepticism.
