Colab has been doing that to me for two days. This happened to me before; I can't remember how long ago. I refer to it as they are play "Whac-A-Mole" with me.

What's happening now is different than what's happened before, and it's not just happening to us. What happened to me before was that I was denied GPU access on one or more accounts for periods from a couple days to 3 weeks, but it never affected other accounts or the CPU sessions.
Now what's happened is they aren't denying the access, they are just killing the sessions a few minutes in, and it appears to be part of a widespread crackdown. It hit me yesterday when all of my sessions shut down at the same time. I was able to start up GPU sessions later (that ran their normal ~2.5 hours), but CPU sessions for the most part would get killed in 6-10 minutes, although I did get some to run out their normal duration yesterday (must have slipped through the cracks somehow). Today any session I start from any account is killed in 1-10 minutes. Hunting on the web yesterday I found some mentions that people starting reporting sessions being killed in a few minutes about a week ago. Last fiddled with by slandrum on 2022-06-12 at 22:04 |

I left it for a day, requesting no tasks, and then started again this morning, and got nearly 6 hours per account :)
