Yep... Mollweide projection. But because the globe in logo is circular, it is not showing the whole planet, only up to half of it. It depends on how far are you looking from. The further you go, the closer to half of the planet you can see, but never the entire half, that would require you to go to an infinite distance, from which the tangent "cone" of your sight wraps around the entire diameter of the Earth (and technically becomes strange infinite cylinder/cone hybrid).

I started running Prime95 in 2005 and I have had only one peeve about it. The black text on the bright white background. Personally, I would prefer it reversed. It there had been a console version, I would have been using it instead. This way, I could control the appearance.

I don't know if the GUI has been appreciably updated in this century. In fact, there's still code in Prime95 for Windows 95 support!
Yes please to the console version. I'm lucky to have to use the terminal on this Linux box. |

I ran Ubuntu on my i5 for a while and it ran very well, once I got used to the syntax and other differences. I used mprime on it. As a console program, it did a good job. Linux does not seem to have the baggage Windows has.

I think links to mersenne.org, mersenne.ca, and mersenneforum.org would be good early additions to the FB page. |

I tried looking at the page, but Facebook kept popping up a screen every 5 seconds asking if I want to create an account. Apparently "no" is not the answer they were looking for... |

Villiam started one. I have added a few of the past milestones (founding, primenet started, prime discoveries, etc.). Trying to flesh it out before making a big announcement of it.
