It was probably a pure luck that I found a factor during the stage 1 when factoring an exponent -
https://www.mersenne.org/report_expo...exp_hi=&full=1 I felt this number was a composite number at the beginning since there is a 3 of a kind(has to be an even number) for the digits when convert into the dozenal base: 2Ӿ71Ӿ5Ӿ7 and its ending digit is not 5, just to see whether Kriesel was right. It was definitely pure luck. No doubt about it. Doing base conversion into base-12 won't help you to determine if a number is prime or not.

I have a feeling that every Mersenne number that you test (that is not an already known MP) will be composite. I have statistics on my side.

Hmmm, Ben Delo already tested this exponent, wondering who got him here?
