Default V24.12 QA help needed

I need some QA time on both a P4 and AMD64 machine with 2GB memory. If you have access to such a machine and are willing to help, please download ftp://mersenne.org/gimps/prptst.zip.

Run prp.exe and send the results.txt file to me when you are done. This is a rather ill-behaved app, you may need to kill it with task manager when you are done (or if it starts thrashing).

I think the entire test will only take a few hours.

Default Everything is fine up to 16M FFTs...

Same machine already mentioned in other threads (Win2003 EE SP1, dual Xeon w/1Mb L2 cache, HT enabled, 2 GB @ 800 Mhz DDR-2 memory). Everything appears to be fine up to a certain (huge) limit, then the mismatch comes in....

Hope this helps

Thanks to ric and another user who emailed results, I have fixed three bugs in the 14M and 16M FFTs. I've uploaded a new prptst.zip. If it isn't too much to ask, can you try again with this new version? Thanks.

Default QA for 24.12

Two distinct runs, lasting around two hours each. Apparently looks fine, apart from a certain abrupt interruption, happening around 24M FFT sizes. More than happy to provide additional testing time, if needed.

Exclamation Error

P4 2.4C, 2GB PC3200, Windows XP SP2

Ran for quite a while, but crashed hard. The message is in the attachment. I couldn't get all the crash details, but I've got a full development environment on here if there is any other information you might need.

So we can conclude that there are FFT problems for the 24M FFTs and higher.
