Hi, after downloading mprime, unzip all files in a folder, try fo find a console, usually ALT+F2 and once there, change to the directory where you unzipped all the files.Type "./mprime -m" -without the "" and follow the instructions menu. Option 1 for joining gimps, choose a name for identify yourself or let anonymous.}

You should not close it with Ctrl-Z. That just suspends it but leaves it running in the background. You should always exit the mprime menu by typing 5. Once you have configured via the menu and exited, you should run it again with ./mprime -d to get it to actually do some work. Also, search this forum for a script that will let you run it automatically in linux.

I don't know what ctrl-x does for you. Best would be to exit it properly in the first place with the 5 option of course. |
