Just one Cray T932 supercomputer?

"The virtual machine's sustained throughput is ... equivalent to ... 442.5 of Cray's most powerful T932 supercomputers, at peak power."

Has anyone ever asked Cray corp about a win-win partnership? If they "loaned" GIMPS the use of even just one T932 sitting idle in their show room or warehouse, GIMPS would advance noticeably AND Cray would have a great marketing edge ... a real life project to show how F-A-S-T they really are.

I don't think Cray uses the T932 anymore. Supercomputing technology has advanced quite a lot since then...

Then how about a Cray XT4 with 1 Teraflop capacity.....GIMPS is at about 25 Teraflops.

We should buy GIMPS a Cray X1E, which can go up to 147 TFLOP/s.
