I guess I still have 228150 reserved, but I'm not shown in the first message listing.

It currently has 2^2 * 3^3 * 5 and is about to grow to 125 digits, at which point I intend to release it.

I believe this and 794184 (main reservation thread, now) are the only numbers I have reserved. If anyone knows of another, please let me know what/where I may have it shown.

After a recent pull, I count as many as 457 "six-digiter" sequences in the 2^2 * 3^n * 7^0 state. Of them, 207 in the more strict 2^2 * 3 (sans 5 or 7) state. Why is the top list so short?

Because the first list was based on what there was at the time that was 2^2 * 3 * <large comp>, since I did not know what was needed to lose the 3. I can refresh the list if that's what's needed.

I think 10metreh was hoping to get more out of this project than we actually have (the hope was to get some terminations, but I'm not even sure that any of the latest ones are a result of this project, are they?)

Actually, now that the newness has passed on the whole aliquot thing, and the long grind has started, this was kind of a "let's keep the troops interested" type thing. Right now, unless we started a 120-digit target project or could find another community sequence that was "interesting", there's not much to do other than pick a sequence and keep factoring it until it becomes boring.....

For the greater good, it is important to get people interested in the neglected sequences. An interesting thing happens with these - if the sequence loses the 3, people won't let it go because it is suddenly much more attractive; if the sequence regains the 3, people are ashamed to let it go because they are back to square one and don't want to release it in the same state. Catch 22 (if they didn't rationalize this whole thing from the very beginning).

But this all doesn't matter really, because the robotic workers will soon advance every sequence regardless of its state.

Status update on 117516: lost the 2^2 * 3, but now on a 2 * 3 driver. I'll continue this sequence a while longer.
