I'm so happy it wasn't just me. I am experiencing a very similar issue using v237. I have an Athlon64 3000+ running stock settings... 1GB memory also running stock settings (fast memory mind you).

The details of my problem were that Windows XP would give me a Application Error after an intermittent amount of time running the Torture Test. My Temps were max CPU: 52, MB: 37 so that shouldn't be an issue.

If I look in the Eventviewer, the error always faulted at the same memory address 0x0032e65. That is why I began to suspect a software issue.

I am now running .238 but I have high hopes.

Yep, that version definately fixed the problem. Additionally, the CPU usage now stays up at 100% whereas before, it would drop significantly when doing certain sets.

Are these temps too high?

Cpu 39 degrees cel
Mobo 49.5 degrees cel

I have been running the max heat torture test now for about an hr on a P4 2.2 oc'd to 3.3

I have not figured out where I can check the temps in Prime95. The above temps were taken from another program.

Sure hope those temps are reversed! If so, CPU at 121F is good, though 100F for the MB seems a little high to me.

My dual Athlon runs at 82 Case with CPU0 at 154 and CPU1 at 164. That's hot, but well below critical.

Prime95 doesn't monitor CPU temps, so you have to use another program.

If I can keep the CPU under 65C and the motherboard under 45C I'm happy... Running cooler might extend the lifespan of the box, but who keeps them for more than 10 years? I just use the retail HSF and generic thermal goop, even on serious overclocks...

"Sure hope those temps are reversed!"

Well, they are NOT reversed. My cpu temp is 10 degrees lower than my mobo.

Is that a problem?

It seems peculiar to me that a mobo temp would be HIGHER than a CPU temp. Not to mention that I've rarely seen case/mobo temps go higher than 100, never mind 120. It might shorten the lifespan of your computer a little, but I suppose its not a problem.

Are you sure you are using the right sensors?

Try MBM5... It is the standard...

Here is what I use:

MBM5 is just beyond my ability to set it.
