Default 14 TeraFlops last May 2004. Now?

Where are we now on throughput? Is maintenance of PrimeNet stats on
http://mersenne.org/ips/stats.html
very troublesome?
The stats page gives the impression that participation might be dwindling behind the scenes...

Wouter.

I guess that page isn't really updated.

You can check http://mersenne.org/primenet/summary.txt which is updated every hour and suggests that we've gained 4 teraflops.

Go us!

A gain of four TFLOP/s since 17 months isn't much, I'm afraid.

We had over 20 TFLOP/s a while ago, but our popularity seems to have gone down.

Well it goes up and down with the weather/the time since the last prime/time of year/whatever else. A gain of 4 teraflops says that the general trend is up. Seems a good thing to me.

20 teraflops? When did that happen? I've seen it get past 19 before, but not 20.

I vaguely remember it hitting 20 T/FLOPS jindyu. I think it was fairly soon after the last Mersenne Prime was found. Also, if I'm not mistaken we also hit a peak of almost 100,000 machines dedicated to GIMPS...

Today the primenet-performance has reached 52.579 TFLOP/s .
Is this a new record?

The recent server downtime has led to a spike in reported results as the clients report in delayed results.

Wait a week before believing the server stats.

It has been very close to 50 (48-51) for the last couple months every time I've looked.

The primenet summary page which goes back 7 days confirms this
