Hello! This is my first time on this resource. Please tell (in the abstracts) what needs to be done (where, and what information / data do you need to upload) To get a prize for the largest number of Mersenne?
Thanks in advance! ![]() |

Do you think you have a prize-winning Mersenne prime or are your eyes just popping at the idea of the prize money? If you have found a Mersenne prime what software did you use to find it and how long did it take?

What information needs to be uploaded? -- The exponent is enough. It is just a single number. Others will check your claim, so if you try too many random numbers claiming they produce primes then you will quickly get ignored from then on. Your claim needs to be credible. As to your chance of winning the "prize" -- very low. I'd say don't bother trying if your only goal is the prize money. It will likely cost you more in electricity and resources than the prize will cover in return. |

2) Figure out how to get your friends, neighbors, relatives, and employers to let you run on their machines too under your GIMPS account 3) Buy more gear, heat your residence with Mersenne prime searching waste heat 4) Prepare to wait a long time and see others find primes first 5) Live healthy, it may take a lifetime. For most it takes longer than that. 6) Realize the prize if won will not pay the integrated increase on your power bill and computing purchases Or: Do it just for fun, relax, have fun with it and the community here. Learn as much or as little number theory and programming as you like. Last fiddled with by kriesel on 2019-01-13 at 15:22 |

Hi!
I use a proprietary software package. I got the number of Мersenne, over M90000000. Last fiddled with by Zakedonsky on 2019-01-13 at 17:44 |

Thank you for responding. Where, specifically, you need to upload your number? Is it possible to load the table of numbers of Mersenne, printed by my program? Thanks in advance. |

You can publish a paper in a scientific journal, you can use an escrow service, you can publish it here, you can submit to the largest known prime 3rd party webpage. Plenty of options.
You can Google-translate (or translate.ru) this webpage --> https://www.mersenne.org/legal/#rules or this one --> https://www.eff.org/awards/coop/ EFF is an international foundation known for its free speech and digital privacy protection work. The award is just one of so many things they do. |

Too hard to find? Seriously, if it is - the webpage maintainers can make it easier. But they need to know about it. P.S. Also, note: modifying your post is good for typos, but not good to ask questions - no one will notice it. For a new question - it is best to post another message instead. |
