Poops Latex In mathematics, Euler's identity (also known as Euler's equation) is the equality e^ i*pi + 1 = 0 Let´s transform this a little bit: add 1 on both sides and square the whole thing. That results in e^-2*pi=1, (shit Latex!) which is apparently false !

If you make the trivial calculation you mentioned correctly, you will not get the result you stated.

e^{i\pi} +1 =0$

$e^{i\pi}+2=1$
$e^{2{i\pi}} + 4(e^{i\pi}) +4 = 1$

I must be missing something.
