Cool Crackpot Challenge

It may be interesting to consider the extrema of the crackpot index (CI) in different contexts. The hope is that the CI correlates with the intuitive perception of 'crackpot-ness'.

To study this, I propose attempting to break it as much as possible. Who can find:
1. A non-crackpot document with a high index
2. A (possibly crackpot) document from a non-crackpot author with a high index
3. A crackpot document with a low index

For #2 I was thinking of Newton (in his later years) and, arguably, de Branges.

Documents, for the sake of this post, are papers, posts, webpages, listserv emails, etc.
