![]() ![]() You old timers will appreciate this. Lets know if any of you have used these comparatively ancient machines At the DigiBarn, computer history is on display alongside several potbellied pigs. What? No TI99/4A? I've got one of those around somewhere. Even have a keyboard soldered on.
My oldest working computer is a Commodore 64 that still works and plays decent games if and when I turn it on. I still enjoy my re-write of zuider zee. Second oldest is an IBM PC XT with the 10 meg hard drive. Third oldest is a 6 mhz IBM PC AT that originally came with a 30 meg hard drive but that I refitted with a 760 meg maxtor. I still have a good and sometimes actually useful 486 that is connected to a 9 track tape drive. And then I have my current hp laptop 2mhz pentium M. There are a couple of other Dell C610 laptops floating around that the kids use. Lots of memories back with those old computers. Most of my programming today is some variation of basic with an occasional C++ and some Java apps. I'm currently working on a good sized VBA routine in Excel. Darrel Jones |

We've lost count of the computers we have owned since 1983 or so, but the COCO3 stands out as the one the really lit a fire under our ass. OS/9 (Not Mac 0S/9) really changed our life. The COCO3 still resides here at mersenneforum.org headquarters, with the much coveted LOGO and EDTASM+ cartridge, for our son.
