Arrow I took a New assignment untested Prime Number manual testing &TF

After reading some more information here I found out that I'm testing a number which has already been D-for done the LL. I wanted to use a virgin Prime Number untested and therefore I found one which does add to 5 in numerology. What sucks is the estimated time for completion is April 29, 2028. Can anyone tell me why I should even participate, because in most cases tests that are finished on other primes have found a factor. Why should I waste my time? The message went on to say it possible or maybe after a year some else might get the number. VERY UNFAIR!

Here is the message I got: see attachment

(1) NOPE. And nobody is forcing you to participate, either. Therefore, don't CHOOSE to do so.
(2) Besides "UNFAIR" is the situation also "SAD" or a "WITCH HUNT"?

Choose a smaller exponent. Something in the range around 80M might be the best option. That shouldn't take more than a few months at the most even for a slow system.

If you are using the Prime95 client use option:
Test...
Worker Windows...
First Time Tests.... (Or World Record; but not 100,000,000 Digit; these take a LONG time)
And it will give you one automatically in the 8xM range.
... It might assign you to a DC test first until your machine is proven reliable; or maybe it just suggests you do a DC first. I haven't had a NEW PC doing LL/DC since the assignment rules changed.

Or if you really want to choose your own you'll have to use:
https://www.mersenne.org/report_expo...8000999&full=1
And use trial and error to find exponents that do NOT have statuses of:
- Factored
- Unverified (1 LL test done)
- Verified (DC done)

@OP: You do not have to participate. In fact (and some people here will fry me for this remark, but seeing your posts in other threads too, I will risk it anyhow), the project will do much better without you.
