I have one nearly identical. He gets on my desk, as the image shows, directly in front of my monitor. Once there, he doesn't want to move, or be moved. Trying to push him to one side or the other is like trying to push a cinder-block. No deal.

He doesn't always sit crouched like this. If he sits with his head in the air, then he pretty much covers everything. This is when he gets picked up, with major disapproval, and put on the floor.

One of my cats (Tommy) has a reputation of jumping on my lap during MS Teams meetings and making himself heard. I have to be muted most of the time because he is so vocal. He has quite the reputation with my co-workers.

Levi. That's what the shelter had named him when he was brought in. I decided to keep it. I've had him since January of 2009, so he's an old-timer. He's never liked other cats, so I don't force the issue. I have a big set of patio doors in the back with a concrete slab outside. He considers that slab as his territory. If another cat gets on this, Levi is right at the window to greet, tail as big around as my forearm. That just don't fly with him.

Monitors, I have four, but not more than one each on three machines. The fourth is a boat-anchor glass CRT I keep as an emergency spare.

A youg ginger tomcat, probably about 9 months old, has taken to visiting us here in La Palma recently. He is in very good condition and is clearly a pet, almost certainly of the kids at the farmhouse nearby.

Suggestions are welcome as to why we have taken to call him "Orange Cake". Ernst should have no trouble with this one.
