As late-comer, I'd like to jump ship and join the Geckos as an "alternate".
My game isn't good enough to participate in the analyses much, and my
time constraints would turn the game into a move-a-month marathon.
But I'd rather participate than merely observe.

To Chess, aargh ! Oops, I mean, Go Geckos !

I don't see why the teams need to be balanced in terms of the number of members.

I hope we hear from LaurV and WMHalsdorf soon. Then we will know whether we have any opponents at all for game 3.

That is the current rate. If you want something faster the number of moves has to be grater than the number of weeks such as 40 moves/30 weeks, you also have to have a rate after the first 40 moves.

That was what we were not-so-successfully trying to convey.

We're not sure how hard it would be to keep track of system like that. Maybe the team itself could keep track?

I prefer the one week per move rule. It is then easy to check the time stamp of the opponents last move, giving all team members a chance during a week to find some time to study the positions, including the weekends.
