In the thread Aliquot sequences starting on integer powers n^i, work is being done with filling in tables as in the title. In nearly all cases, Aliquot sequences that have a matched parity between the base and the exponent, may briefly show abundance, but quickly turn deficient and terminate.
So far, 29^15 has been the sole sequence with matched parity that has turned upwards for a considerable climb. 29^15 (8629188747598184440949) merged early (at index 37) with 18528 (at index 0) in its initial race to termination, which was interrupted. 18528 is an open sequence from the main project. Would there be interest in adding this sequence to the list of Team efforts? Last fiddled with by EdH on 2021-06-26 at 19:24 |

I think it may be nice to have a sequence that's a bit more "casual" than the ones we currently have, so that one can contribute without long-term access to powerful hardware and with a lighter knowledge of the available tools.
Anyway, I ECMed the C151 (i1415) to t46.46 (the yafu default) and didn't hit any factors. Will keep yafu's polyselect run and see what it comes up with. Last fiddled with by jagotu on 2021-02-22 at 11:08 |

If we get some more interest, I'll change the title. I'm not sure about the reservation. I'll have to check into that. I suppose it should be under mersenneforum as the others. Last fiddled with by EdH on 2021-02-22 at 13:01 |

You can reserve for the forum like the others, or to yourself and just choose to share with the forum for some period of time.
I've taken a break while work has been busy, but I still have intentions to improve the CADO params files for 145-165 digits- this sequence may well help provide some factoring candidates for me to test such params, so I'm game to run this sequence up to 180+ digits. |

Thank you for your interest and I'm also interested in the "Improved" files. Unfortunately, I have taken on a much bigger job than I realized, in an HCN and the major portion of my equipment is plugging away toward that end. It's going to be a test of my capability in both machinery and patience. I'm having to sneak machines (or threads) away from the HCN for other small tasks. I might have a couple freeing up, that I can work with for this job, but it will be limited. They actually aren't capable of running the current sieving due to memory limitations. |

That's kind of good for users like jagotu to have a go at a team-sequence!
I'm tied up with the quartic I reserved from the Cunningham extensions table- I've never done a SNFS-23x quartic, and it's taking about twice as long as I thought it would. So I'm mostly tied up until mid-march too for anything beyond a few cores of ECM. Jagotu- Since you've done all the ECM on the current step, the sequence is yours until you announce an iteration you'd like help ECMing, or announce an ECM'ed composite you'd prefer to not factor yourself. Typically, people ECM to t40 at minimum before throwing an iteration back to the forum for group ECM, but that's not a requirement. |

Happy to help out if/when the numbers get a bit bigger, but I wouldn't want to ruin the fun so I'll stay away for now.

If you run linux, I'm happy to help you get CADO going and params edited. I think CADO is about 25% faster than yafu/GGNFS, but that's just a guess. It's not so much faster than runing YAFU is folly, at least below the 160s.

If windows they CADO will run under WSL(once you get it to compile).
