A sufficiently immature brain (in the physical organ development sense) may be unable to retain or use certain information or skills. The difference in ability between a 10 year old brain and a 25 year old brain could be considerable.

I remember reciting the number 999,999,999,999,999,999,999 in kindergarten (and counting to ten in four different languages); it would be interesting to know if a ten-year-old can solve complex equations too, if taught accordingly... |

You might run into some unexpected knowledge problems, though. There might be some things you knew at age 10, like names of historical leaders of your country, that you forgot now*. For example, I was taught the different types of clouds as a ~10 year old, but the only types I can still remember and recognize without Googling are cirrus, cumulus, stratus, and cumulonimbus. *Edit: Today, I know that Millard Fillmore, Ulysses Grant, and Zachary Taylor, along with famous Abe Lincoln and several others, were U.S. Presidents in the 19th century. ~10 year old me knew what order they came in, adult me doesn't. So adult me might fail a Presidential History test that 10-year-old me aced, but adult me also knows that failing that test doesn't really matter in life. Going n-years into the future as a teen should be an option as well. For example, I can't wait for a future where people aren't allowed to drive cars anymore.
