Congrats to Luigi for finding the largest prime of our project so far!

The relatively small gap between the last one (3*2^702038-1) and the new one (3*2^727699-1) is really amazing. Lets hope that there is at least one more prime until n=1 million ...

CONGRATULATIONS to Jason and to all of you for such a large prime I just noticed on the Top-5000 Status page.

BTW, I see that you have very few ranges remaining. What do you plan to do once you check all of them, do you plan to continue with n>1M ?

Yep. 1-2M sieving is taking place now and candidates will be made available as soon as those less than 1M have been tested.

Paul,
Your project is doing very well, especially with the new LLR.
I retract my previous sarcasm about it.
I did not expect a prime way up there at all.

Awesome!

Here we go again and it's a whoppa megabit prime found by Alexandre de Pereyra. I am just veryifying it. Chris Caldwell is verifying it on the the slow llr. The number is ranked 40th biggest prime todate and has 361,552 digits.

It checks out with the latest llrp4. I am now testing it with PFGW's N+1 test. It's going to take about 6 hours

I set PFGW off on the wrong number. I have resarted it on the correct one. And anyway it's going to take more like 12 hours to test on a P4 2.47GHz
