return value 255 error
hello , anyone can help me solving this error ? is appear at final afther the 100% was reached.

It appears your .dat file is empty. Did you accidentally start the sieving process and immediately terminate it after you noticed the mistake?

no i didnt run sieving process. at my folder it existe: example.dat whit 157b example.dat.cyc whit 103.549.4xxb example.dat.lp whit 0b example.dat.mat whit 0b example.dat.t0.p whit 2.738b example.dat.t1.p whit 6.053b any more sugestions?

Your .dat file only contains the composite plus a few control characters. There are no relations in the file.
Restore the .dat file from a backup copy (if you have one) and try again. or I’m not familiar with the Python script (only Perl) but maybe someone else could help out. You have example.dat.t0.p and .t1.p files. If those are in GB then you might have the relations needed. If those are in MB then the data is most likely from the last sieving step or some other process. Backup this folder before you try anything else! You can try to rebuild the .dat file like: Code:

./msieve s ../example.dat l ../example.log i ../example.ini nf ../example.fb t 2 nc2 nc3 If you get a lot of “error nn” at the start, then the .dat.tx.p is not the relations file. You may have to perform the sieving step again.
