Hi Mersenneforum,
According to the Maple Computer Algebra system, we see that the expression - c(r) = a*c(r-1) + b*c(r-2) can be expressed in terms of radicals. If we choose c(1) = 2 and c(2) = 1 as well as a = 6 and b = 7 then we have this sequence. 2,1,20,127,902,6301,44120,308827,2161802 Good fun. Regards, Matt |
