I've sent Markus an email asking him to look at them.

Markus replied, he's set those 3 prime. And searched the whole database and found 9 others.

And I asked him to look at:
1100000001598147064 ((2^692-1)*692##+1)/1286083057971077 1100000000781996714 (776*776##+1)/92857 1100000003810407374 (778*778##-1)/31021540273 1100000000953365184 ((2^722-1)*722##+1)/35099 1100000001399909747 1350##/675##+675## He replied that there was a bug in the code, '##' gets passed to pfgw directly which interprets it differently to factordb. He said he would fix it and re-queue potentially false PRPs and false composites for re-processing. So we should not see any more bad PRPs (fingers crossed). And I sent my thanks for fixing this long standing issue. |

Why isn't Wget working with FactorDB? I tried to update a sequence (41299062275692180), adding 45 terms, but it's not working:
Code:
Sending 45 lines... C:\Numbers\aliqueit112>wget1 --cache=off --output-document=aliqueit_tmp_wget_41299062275692180 --post-file=aliqueit_tmp_post_41299062275692180 http://factordb.com/search.php?report=true --2023-01-15 15:53:50-- http://factordb.com/search.php?report=true Resolving factordb.com (factordb.com)... 116.203.33.155 Connecting to factordb.com (factordb.com)|116.203.33.155|:80... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 502 Proxy Error 2023-01-15 15:58:51 ERROR 502: Proxy Error. Also, I think it's ridiculous that we can't access the limits page when we reach the parallel processing limit. Also, I've noticed that the help pages seem to have disappeared. UPDATE: Now it says that I've reached my 2400-second CPU limit. Why did it eat up all my quota like that? Last fiddled with by Stargate38 on 2023-01-15 at 21:14 |

I had 3 occasions yesterday when factordb had problems. They started when attempts to post a factor timed out, then after 4 such I got "You have reached the maximum of 4 parallel processing requests.", then after a while "You have reached your hourly limit of 2400 seconds CPU-time." After an hour things started to work again.
I suspect the attempted posts were looping, so once my script had tried to post 4 numbers I hit the first limit, then after they had used 2400 secs CPU I hit the second limit. They probably got terminated then so I could continue once the limit had cleared. But I can't tell why they looped. Last fiddled with by chris2be8 on 2023-01-16 at 17:08 Reason: Missing word. |

I have had this scenario occur several times over the last few months, but never determined why.

Markus responded to my email today. He has added additional connection slots for the status and limit pages, and he also added the current limits to the limits page. The changes are already live.

Thanks Alexander, for helping bring this about, and to Markus for all the work he puts in.
