A while ago, the PrimeNet server showed a sustained throughput of about 8 TFlops, but now its only around 7, and it's been decreasing slightly everyday.
I hope that GIMPS isn't losing popularity. :( |

How long was the throughput listed as being 8 TFlops? Most of the times that I look at it, the sustained throughput is right aroung 7 TFlops, give or take a couple TFlops. I think I remember seeing it above 10 once, but that was after the server had been down for awhile.

In a similar vein, will we have some updated performance graphs in the near future? Primenet's were last updated in March 2001 (1.5 Tflops!)

Is the information presented in
http://mersenne.org/primenet/summary.txt specifically the completed day info for CPU years and GFLOP/s ( LL, Fac, TOTALS ) stored/archived somewhere? The GFLOP/s could be calculated from the CPU years, so just the CPU years are critical. |

I don't believe the old summary.txt information is stored anywhere on the Primenet server, but I have an archive of summary.txt going back to January 31st of this year. I could zip it up and send it to anyone who wants it. I think the zipped up file would be just a few hundred KB in size.

See also the Gigaflops rate greatly exceeds trend predicted 2 1/2 years ago thread, and the
LL testing rate graph, which shows the same kind of data as the above graphs, but over a much broader time period and with much less detail. |
