We're into Monday in a number of countries - but I don't know of any ahead of NZ. Kiribati did wangle the position of being the first country to see the new millenium by adjusting their local time to cover the Line Islands south of Hawaii... |

My verification has just ended, and Glucas says about Sept6th: NEW MERSENNE PRIME DISCOVERED !!!! George should know about the result. Don't know if Jeff has finished yet or not his own verification. Think George will clarify the main page of the GIMPS. OK. Now target is: M47 !  Tony |
