Default Log Out not working?

Recently I find that after I've logged off, using "Log Out" and getting the usual message including the word "random", when I come back to mersenneforum.org I'm still logged-in!

I don't recall having made any recent cookie-affecting change to my browser or security software settings, but apparently my login cookie is no longer being deleted.

Is there a forum-related explanation for this recent inability to log out?

We are having difficulty sorting out our cookie serving mechanism. It is possible to access the forum from either mersenneforum.org and www.mersenneforum.org. We want the cookie to accept both versions but we have no idea what we are doing.
