Welcome to the forum.
Please search more, read more, post less, especially of new threads for single questions probably already answered elsewhere.
Start with the "new participant" thread in the reference info compilation. For gpuowl on Linux, there's a pretty detailed how-to written by Ernst Mayer in the gpuowl subforum. There's also a large reference thread specifically for gpuowl, including how to get started in its very first post, with a pointer link to Ernst's linux gpuowl howto.

Do due diligence searching first before posting, with the forum search tool, or the web browser's search function on the reference info index, or run afoul of pushback by the rank and file or forum moderators. A benefit of due diligence is learning both the search functions and the other material you'll run across on the way to finding and understanding the answer you seek at the moment.
We've tried to make such info easy to find, by making some threads sticky, and placing breadcrumb pointers to various useful info and reference info in threads as such questions come up, but the large number of forum threads works against that, by increasing dilution. Please do not worsen the dilution problem by proliferating even more threads as new-to-you questions come to mind. (Increasing the size of the haystack makes finding the needle sought, harder yet to find for the next persons.)
