I realize that 90% of us here are motivated by developments
of all kinds, as well as the search for the next prime. We are not
enthralled by simplifying this process for the average moron.

But I feel sure there must be folk out there who enjoy making
(e.g.) Prime95 as easy , enjoyable and unabtrusive to run as possible.

Even as a sort of IT guy, I don't think I would have got into GIMPS
if my casual effort to download and run the program had misfired.

Some of us *are* working on that part...especially for mfaktc/mfakto.....TF on GPUs. We need to automate the assignment/reporting process, and the main obstacle for me involves a refrigerator that I'm going to have to replace this weekend.

And Rodrigo has the assignment, long overdue (that is in being assigned), of putting together the sticky thread/wiki article on mfaktc with the latest version and not 40 pages of discussion about obscure features and now-fixed bugs!
