I was under the impression that the rankings were not going to be completely reset when we transitioned to v5, but when I look at the top 500 rankings, it certainly looks pretty empty.
My assumption is that only a few people have v4 credit affecting their ranking. I'm putting forward this poll to find out. Here are the links related to the options in the poll: v4 migration page: http://www.mersenne.org/v4_migration/ Account results page: http://www.mersenne.org/results/ Account summary page: http://www.mersenne.org/account/ Top producers report (standings): http://www.mersenne.org/report_top_500/ Last fiddled with by uigrad on 2008-11-03 at 20:29 |

Everywhere except results, with it appearing both as v4-LL and LL on the summary page. (already voted to reflect this)

My v4 credits appear as they should, but I notice that my new exponents are assigned to anonymous (46838278 and 46805137) and the user name looks like it is KYOJI_KAMEI instead of Penguin66. Anyone else seeing something like this?

I voted 'Summary' and 'Migration' , but I also have another oddity, that's not clearly V4 credit. I had six exponents (assigned by the V4 server) that finished after the V4 server crashed and BEFORE the V4 API came up on the V5 server. Those nodes went idle, and then when the V4 API came up they reported their results to V5 and got new assignments. Those six exponents show up on the 'Results' page, but not on the summary page, and I know they are not included in the V4_computers fat-credit.
Stranger still, in the few days after the V4 API came up, I had three more exponents (assigned by the V4 server) that finished and reported results to the V5 server and they show up both on the 'Results' page and the 'Summary' page, as well as in the Top Producers report. So, those 6 exponents, approximately 450 GHz-days, are hanging out there somewhere un-credited. |

Pre V4 crash credits have come over into v4_computers but not on the top producers reports.
Much of the work assigned by V4 but unable to be returned to V4 during the crash period was either hijacked by Anonymous or invalidated as being uneeded during the upgrade to V5. It is completely unclear how much of that work, if any, has been given back to me on V5, there's no way to tell with the current reporting tools (for trial factoring anyway) since username's aren't attached to results. |

I picked the "v4 migration page, account summary page, rankings, and my result page", but the credit that came in when I linked in my old account doesn't show up on the result page, but results returned by my v4 computers to the v5 server do show up. It is also getting counted twice on my summary page.

I voted: In my v4 migration page, and my account summary page.
That is, however, only true for results turned in prior to the crash. Results for exponents assigned under v4 and now reported to v5 show up like results for exponents assigned under v5: Everywhere they should. Results from the 24.14 clients I still have running which are reported via the v4 bridge, however, show up only on my results page - neither my v4 nor my v5 stats increase accordingly. |
