I'd change 1 or 2 of the final digits such as +26_{(Zen 4 Ryzen 9 7950X)} or -34_{(RDNA 3 Radeon 7900 XT)} to that exponent and ask Kriesel_{New PC} to run P-1 or PRPs of the 1 or 2 of the nearby exponents instead.

Haha, you are brilliant, I love you. You not only killed my joke, but you killed it "properly", i.e. spent your time to go to the top500, check my last year history, etc. You didn't see that I am "the most complete gimpster" having all my bars to 98 or 99 percentile in those graphs (except for P+1, but there are too few participants there to be possible to achieve such a high percentile) and my main activity is P-1, TF, etc, i.e. supporting other people find a prime. And anyhow, none of these are relevant, I can just dream an exponent over night, test it, and find a prime without any history, and without infinite computing power...

Neeee... That means a lot of bureaucracy and paperwork. Not wanted at all, prefer paying half to Gimps, as George knows the way, he did it few times, so I find the prime, I let him take the money and then split it my way. Now, what's left is me finding the prime...

But if I will have one, the talking is different. The question will resume to "Does it worth for GIMPS to pay $25k and have the prime now, or keep the money and wait another few years till somebody else finds the prime?". Don't forget that many things can happen in few years, for example, EFF can retract the prizes (there are many precedents, one most related to us is the RSA challenges, they retracted the "big awards" after people took the small awards proving that those numbers can be factored - so EFF can say any time that they already paid enough, so the largest awards are cancelled in the future).
