M133272767 shows assignment today & 0% progress on a PRP with inadequate TF (I'm on that) and no P-1 (coming next if no TF factor).
The previous two don't look so good for timely completion: https://mersenneforum.org/showpost.p...&postcount=419 MPrimeFinder 114464843 TF adequate, P-1 nearly adequate bounds, PRP under way assigned "PrimeNumberFinder" 2022-09-08, 1.9% at 2022-09-25, 2.8% as of 2022-10-07, averaged 0.097%/day, looks likely to expire before completion (360 days is ~2022-09-03 vs ~1036. days to completion linearly extrapolated) https://mersenneforum.org/showpost.p...&postcount=424 Neil 114670243 TF adequate, P-1 nearly adequate bounds, PRP assigned Neil 2022-09-25, no progress indicated yet 2022-10-07 Gee thanks very little, retina. Now the file where I keep track of the status of these, which contains URLs, has post #'s off by one for about 100 of them, since wedging in the summary at post 2 incremented post-# on each. If you have the data in a spreadsheet the off by one error is trivial. Also if you use the post number, not the post number in thread, they don't change.

starting with https://www.mersenneforum.org/showpo...41&postcount=2 ?p=<whatever> is still ok, but &postcount=<offby1> is no longer, but appears to be current, until a whole page is displayed. |

Everything has consequences.
Sometimes the overall gain can outweigh the overall loss. Thanks for the feedback. |

Can I negotiate? Say, "Hey George, I found a new 100M-digit prime, but I don't like the money split, so I only tell you the exponent if you agree to split the 150k from EFF fifty-fifty"...

Alternately, if it's a poached exponent, you'd need to complete negotiations before the assigned participant completes his legitimate run and beats you to reporting it to the GIMPS server. Third possibility is an exponent assigned to no one, so ahead of the wavefront. Again, there's a time limit. Take note of https://www.mersenne.org/legal/, especially section called "Participation constitutes agreement". And "Unclaimed, Expired, Disqualified and Refused Awards. Unclaimed awards expire one year from the date of the qualifying discovery. Expired, refused or disqualified awards will be donated by GIMPS to a 501(c)(3) charity or retained by GIMPS to fund awards or cover its expenses." I didn't see anything in the rules about haggling. But the board could revise the rules at any point to make willful withholding of disclosure, haggling, or apparent extortion attempts disqualifying.
