I definitely was not paid, but neither for many of other efforts of other users.

Here's a good way to say it: "Every effort is valued. And recorded, but not paid unless it's a Mersenne Prime." because this is a voluntary exercise not mandatory, perhaps this explains part of the recent slowdowns of the milestone progressions of the first time PRP tests. Used to be +1 million per month during early year 2020.

The base paid-out amount of discovering a new Mersenne Prime if lower than 100M digits is $3,000. If the formula adds extra $10 everyday after the 1,331 dry spell mark until the next discovery, it will still only increase by $3,650 per year. The administrator can definitely set a ceiling of $50,000 which will take more than 1 decade to reach there. A large moving dollar clock on the homepage will usually attract more participants.

Completely irrelevant. A paid, sponsored, TV show with a large audience watching ads, is a whole world away from a volunteer effort, that has no sponsorship, and no ads.

Where do you think the money comes from? Are you willing to put your money into the pot to pay out the extra that you suggest?

You seem to have a strange fascination with Ben Delo.

He's one guy, who contributed a LOT of compute cycles, but he does not personally fund the project or the winnings.

"frontwave" seems an even worse word choice than trine, which drew a response from a moderator for being obscure. Such feedback produces adjustments to reference info such as the glossary, guidance, etc.
