GIMPS Logo Shirts Are Here!

As a side project the past several months, I had a couple dozen Callaway golf brand polo shirts embroidered with a spiffy GIMPS logo on the left chest, like so - note that on the actual shirts the mersenne.org is centered with respect to the 2^p-1:

[I see our chief gerbil has added a thong option to the poll - for those we could either embroider front & center, or over the "left chesticle" - let us know your preference.]

They are very nice shirts (I`m wearing mine as I type this - and nothing else!), and one of the few brands not having any logo on the chest. Callaways (if they have the Callaway logo - not all styles do) have the logo on the left sleeve [which the attached pic below does not show], and a small V-shaped "alien recognition signal" logo in between the shoulder blades. This first trial lot is a mix - some have the Callaway logo on the left sleeve, some don`t.

The sizing is typical U.S. (i.e. slightly on the generous side) - I`m 6`2`` (188 cm) and 75kg and the Large fits me fine, but if I were stout or very long-limbed-or-torsoed I`d want to go one size larger.

I`m selling these essentially at cost - Cost (including shipping) is $27 for U.S. addresses, $30 for elsewhere - just use the Paypal "send money" option, direct the latter to ewmayer@aol.com and include the size, color and ship-to address with your payment.

Due to extremely limited quantities of this first "experimental" batch limit is one per address - sorry, but the relatives will have to wait. ;)

The following colors and sizes are available - I'll be editing this table as the shirts go out, and will try to keep it as current as reasonably possible. If you don`t see your size or color, please post to this thread indicating how many shirts and in what sizes/colors you are interested in ordering - that will give me an idea as to if and when a followup batch is warranted, and what shirts to order for it.

Hi, Jeff - Got your payment - thanks. I have 2 slightly different large black shirt styles - let me know which you prefer:

It's seems that everyone else shys away from the real questions --
what side of the thongs the "2p or not 2p? that is the question" embroiding is? and what are the available sizes?

As far as thong thizing goeth, we'd probably thtart at "extra thtudly" and protheed upward from there:

1. Extra thtudly
2. Magnum
3. Extenz-E thong model
4. "Brobdongnagian"
5. David Hasselhoff (this would cost extra for oversize shipping).

Pretty close to (perhaps 10% smaller than) the logo shown in post #1 above.

My shirt arrived a few days ago, Ernst shipped it right away, no hassles using PayPal and it arrived pretty quickly considering it had to travel to the other side of the continent.

The shirt looks great, and quality is very nice and feels comfortable. The only thing I would point out is that the sizes are American sizes, so the Large I ordered was a little bigger than the Large size shirts I normally get in Canada.

I'm attaching a picture of me in the shirt, with the logo blown up on the bottom corner for you to see. This shirt has shrunk a little since I ignored the instructions not to wash it in warm water and put it in the dryer on low heat, so that it would shrink. Now the size is better. So any of you non-Americans out there, if you normally wear a Large, you might consider a Medium.
