I'm really happy you're back !
I could test this candidate Mersenne prime thanks to your great multi-threaded GLucas program !
And also thanks to my company who has given me again the authorization to use a big Bull NovaScale machine, if one of them is available.
I'll know Monday morning if I can use a 32 CPUs or (more likely) a 16 CPUs machine.
Using Montecito chips (2 cores a chip, HT) would be nice ! But I guess only machines with Madison CPUs may be available.

I've uploaded to my server the last snapshot I recall to run. It had only improvements for G5 machines. I don't know whether itanium or alpha's had problems with it

Ofcourse my opinion is completely subjective. heha
If it is prime, there WILL NOT be another one, for a few years.

I did predict the last false positive, which was against the odds.
Curiously I also predicted my last name would be fixed to a Mersenne prime, and behold Josh Findley!
The kicker is that my sons name is Joshua, named after the computer from war games.

What a quantam world we live in...

PS, if it's false, then it may not nessesarily be a hardware problem, even if George says it may be. I would know.
