Looking at the status.txt archives, the "Prime, UNVERIFIED" showed up on Dec. 16, between 0200-0300, UTC.

We haven't heard from ewmayer or Prime95 (George) yet. I have a feeling that it will be quite a while before the official verification is done.

Here are the cleared LL tests from that time period if that will help anyone figure anything out. I noticed very few in 10 million range.

If the exponent is prime, wouldn't the Res be like 00000.... and not some hex value like 0xD2061A9693B33B?

I think the prime is omitted from that log. The only way we can tell the prime appart from the other non-primes is its disappearance from the logs (which would require logs from before the exponent was reported prime).

So, does anybody have the status.txt from primenet a few hours or days before the reported discovery?

It took 6 months between 40 and 41, 9 months between 41 and 42, and if this pans out it will have taken 10 months between 42 and 43 thats 3 numbers in just over 2 years about the same amount of time between 38 and 39, also 39 and 40.....Thats a heck of a spike in finding them

I remember mention after 1 was found with the zero res a while back that they would set it up so a prime would post with a bogas res to make it harder to figure out

I believe that George changed that, in order for it to be less obvious, but perhaps it is still possible to identify a pattern...
