Yoyo@home have found lots of Elevensmooth factors since June:

[XTBA] Pitheque found 2244214804150719552188200638531573412776001 from 2^4950+1. wn1hgb found 1043381679481478214137407334392801 from 2^9450+1. duftkerze found 11156048790632092546283863077521827489501 from 2^11550+1. Bryan @ SETI.USA found 71222412768899294689192004618816943301 from 2^34650+1. Jamoko found 138927893768972766365423023519201 from 2^18900+1. And finally, LostBoy found 8467201 from 2^8400+1. I'm guessing this one was previously known! |

try using the applet from Dario Alpern for 2^11550+1:
it shows much more factors (but not 11156048790632092546283863077521827489501, see attachment). the FactorDB accepts other factors, but only showing them at saved results, not at the result-factorisation! |

I just tried to take 2^11550+1 as starting point of an aliquot-sequence and then submit one of the factors - doesn't work too!

I tried entering that factor into the Factor box on Dario's applet and it accepted it. Maybe the DB problem is something to do with the size of the number? Or maybe it's because it hasn't proved the cofactor composite.

All of them are factors, and actually db knows that, if you click some times on the red composite number then at some step it will recognise the other factors. Clearly a bug.

And somehow it doesn't recognise the algebraic factors, try n=2^34650+1. So it is unable to find for this n the known prime factors of the above d=2^11550+1. (34650=3*11550, so d divides n).

Hmm...I wonder if "saved factors" means factors which were submitted but didn't match up to any larger composite number in the DB? That is, the DB is hanging on to them in case the larger composite is ever added to the DB, e.g. by searching for it.
Of course, that doesn't quite line up with what we're seeing...it seems to be holding the factors as "saved" despite the fact that the larger composite is clearly in the DB. Perhaps this is because the cofactor hasn't been proven composite, as 10metreh suggested? That would make sense. BTW, anyone know how long it would take to do a PRP test on one of those composites? Maybe we could start a little mini-effort to clean them up. |
