In the reservation thread, it seems that one post was accidentally deleted, or something, because the range from 817k to 888k is not included in the reservation list.
Today, my DB updated and it shown a discrepancy, one more downdriver than the reserved sequences, and I found out there is a sequence with below 140 digits and downdriver, which is not taken by anybody. That is mine! I said... But then I found out that the whole range is missing from the list. So it may be a bug, and somebody already working on it. The sequence is 880860, which I am going to reserve, just in case it is indeed not reserved by other workers (one reason I posted this separate thread is that I didn't want my long speech to influence the reserving bots, as keywords like taken/reserved/unreserved/etc, appears in the post, so I didn't want to end up in a strange situation posting this in the reservation thread). Edit: also, shouldn't the first (276) sequence be manually moved out from Mr.Z' list and added to Ryan, or who is for real working on it? Edit 2: actually, the post was not deleted, it only looks like the numbers in the bot are dizzied somehow, because post #12 contains the same list as post #11, instead of containing an increment of the list... The leading posts in the reservations thread are not regularly updated anymore. They were last edited 2017-06-23 by HenryZZ but I think don't reflect the state as we switched the "yoyo@home" reservations to "yafu@home" before that date. I'm updating https://www.rechenkraft.net/aliquot/AllSeq.html from new posts in the reservations thread and the export by yafu@home directly which makes it the most up to date list of reservations (and thus should be considered authoritative).

There are some sequences < 135 which are reserved, but not updated since years. How to deal with them? I want to bring them some steps further.

We could also do with clearing up old reservations. Every time I have tried contacting people. People say they will get to them eventually. I am too soft.

I suggest to remove reservations if there was no sequence update for at least e.g. 3 years.

+1 to that. Three years is quite enough to factor a C150 or so. Even two would be enough. And do not touch my reservations
![]() (hehe) Edit: By the way, 880860 downdriver was short living. I put about 200 terms to it, and I moved it over the former top, and I will unreserve is immediately when the next composite will pass the ECM (34%) without a factor. Of course, I will post in the right thread when so. This is only FYI. Last fiddled with by LaurV on 2017-09-05 at 07:02 |

Here is a quick list of who would be affected by a three year and a two year deadline:

Is it ok if I give people one week time to respond before dropping the reservations? |

I am thinking of removing the reservations in the forum and just linking to the website. Any objections? Last fiddled with by henryzz on 2017-09-07 at 08:45 |

I send out PMs to all except Clifford who does not seem to have a forum account or uses a different name. I gave the deadline of September 25th.
I don't see a problem linking to the rechenkraft.net website. |
