Absolutely. Any software that is capable of PRP/certs and is asking for FTC LL's should get PRP's. Any software that is capable of PRP win no cert, and asking for FTC's should get PRP DCs until those that are done, then Cat 4 PRP. Any software that can't do PRP's that requests FTCs should get DC's. FTC LL should not be available via manual assignments.

Also, keep in mind that a great deal of the Cat 0/1 Assignments is going to Ben, who is doing P-1 where appropriate extremely well. I've personally been bringing my small amount of CPU compute to bear cleaning up candidates who had a FC done without doing the P-1. Not sure how long I'll be able to sustain that for. |

Manual P-1 assignments in cat 0 and some in cat 1 now have one month to complete their work.
I do not have a P-1 expiration rule for prime95 reserved exponents. |

I added a warning on the manual assignments page that TF and P-1 at the leading edge may be subject to a 30 day expiration.
Easy to include TF in the latest rule to also include TF. I'd like to coordinate with GPU72 before implementing -- make sure GPU72 can't hand out one of these exponents or has a suitable warning. Last fiddled with by Prime95 on 2021-02-03 at 02:13 |

![]() GPU72 has always operated at the sufferance of the policies of Primenet. Since day one GPU72 TF assignments have been given 30 days to complete. P-1 assignments 60. We're somewhat patient when an assignment is overdue. But only when the assignee is showing reasonable efforts in completing what they've taken. TL;DR: If Primenet got more serious about expiring assignments clearly abandoned (and also only assigned for FCs that have been appropriately TF'ed), it would make sense for GPU72 to release candidates for others to TF. I'm thinking of, for example, 106M through 108M inclusive. Plus some of 104M and 105M. Or, whatever people decide makes sense. Thoughts? |

Most are already TF to 75; goal is 76. Most are P-1 only to ~1.5M or less stage 1 only. And every one I checked already had a first primality test reported (nearly all LL not PRP, many by curtisc), about a year ago. There's no rush to finish TF to adequate limits and P-1 to adequate limits before the DC that will come years from now.
They appear to be not delaying first-test milestone, nor DC milestone. |

I had noticed this a while back and did not bring them up. I am currently working on P-1's that are over a month old with no progress in the Cat 0 and low Cat 1 area.
