15k Future?

It has become apparent the organizer of 15K Search harbors ill will both towards Prime95 & George. Does the community wish for 15k Search to find a new home and leave us in peace or are we willing to endure the continual trolling for the sake of free speech?

I think it is a bit odd that someone with one post would post something like this... Maybe it is a fake login for a regular member...

Anyways, I don't have an opinion to offer, but I'd like to say that I have talked, at length, with quite a few people on this forum... All of the people I have talked to seemed pretty normal to me, even TTn...

I'd be willing to bet that in real life we'd all get along a lot better because it is easier to interpret people's attitude when you can see them... When people post here all you have to go with is the words...

I personally think TTn is a bit agressive in his approach, and if I were him I'd be a bit more constructive when i criticize, but I'm a different person than he is...

I wish I knew how to make everyone happy... I don't think banning someone is the right approach here... If someone came here and posted that the lunar landing was faked, I wouldn't ban them... I'd ask them for evidence... I think we need to give TTn a chance to present his evidence...

To be honest, I really don't know what to do... I just want to do the right thing...

Yup, I decided to change my login name and couldn't find a way to change it without opening a new account (any pointers on how to do that?). Sorry didn't realize it wasn't cool to change my name it has afterall been 5.5 MONTHS since I have last posted with it!

For the record I named no names and tried not to make any personal attacks. If I was trying to hide I could use one of the other 5 IPs I have but oh well think what you wish.

BTW, thx alot for posting my IP address about 30 minutes after you posted it I started to get ping bombed and it is still on going. Zooming in on the half blurred out IP it's still readable but then again since I'm getting ping bombed already I don't know if it makes a difference now.

FYI, for the person ping bombing if it hasn't stopped by the morning I will take appropiate actions.

Well, it seems to me that TTn has crossed a line by editing Trif's post that asked for the motivation behind his position. He obviously has no desire to present evidence for his accusations.

Edit: Ok, I just saw that TTn claims to have done that accidentally. I remain suspicious about the incident, but it is possible it really was an accident.

I respect your opinion and poll, but other members of 15k should not be punished by eliminating 15k, for my opinion or the improper code that led to my opinion.

Thomas Ritschel(15k moderator) is well knowledged and does not have the same exact opinion as me, so please do not consider what I say to be, what he is saying. We all represent ourselves, and any banning should be done on an individual basis, and only under proper circumstances.

Some of you may not know that I spend a lot of time working on the mersenne sector, so finding a bug and investigating it, is only helpfull to all.

It really was an accident, if you look at the message in context it is clearly a reply that matches her last post, and does not match an edit post. I was sorry because it was a reponse to another topic where we were going over examples, for which George rightfully stated that PRP has a seperate problem, though linked to the source.
When I found out that I was locally wrong about him telling a tall tale of PRP, I apologized. Though he did not specify the O/S which later became crucial to our statements, which is very missleading and thwarting!

Actually the burden of proof lay with George, and his statement "We will never know what happened" with M40. How can he know this for sure without evidense?
I will gather more facts, and make a formal presentation (in one topic), which will be backed up by experts with credentials.

I agree with your sentiment about the 15K project and believe it should be allowed to stay. What I object to is your tone and your choice of words, phrases etc. It shouldn't be too difficult to leave out the stuff I underlined in the quote, should it?

The forum is set up so that usernames cannot be changed... I was told that it is a good idea to leave it like that, but to be honest, I've never given it much thought...

For the record, the image with the actual IP address was up for only a few minutes, and the blurred one for only a few minutes as well... Every visitor to this forum has their IP address logged, so if someone is ping bombing you it would be very easy to figure out who it is... Even guests are logged... For the 10 or so minutes that the IP was readable I personally saw every visitor come and go, in real time...

If you need logs please let me know...

It does say or the improper code..., which is not only possible but plausible. I can be nicer, but I include an objective definition.
Both sides are really short of evidence, except the shear probability of a false positive, which George says is zero. And alot of heuristic evidence.[/quote]
