The first attempts for Williams primes (and similiar types) are done.
The Category is shown like a portal page, perhaps this should be done on the main page later. There're four types of Williams primes, internally differentiated by a two char coding representing the signs in the formulas (b±1)*b^n±1. So the original Williams prime of the form (b-1)*b^n-1 are named "MM" (1st sign minus, 2nd sign minus). From this internal namings the displayed titles and the categorizations are derived. My last search for 4*5^n-1 can be found here containing the history, external links and the Top5000 IDs in the list. The basic primes should be Riesel (k*2^n-1) and Proth (k*2^n+1) types, so creating a page for the type "Williams prime PM 2" which is "(2+1)*2^n-1" or the same as "Riesel prime 3", the data from the page of the Riesel should be read and displayed on Williams page to avoid double edits. The same for Williams 3*4^n-1 with different exponents from 3*2^n-1. Done! Special categories for bases without any primes found yet Update: - bases 2 to 32 are available. - table created ToDo: - reusing from other types (not Riesel/Proth): example: 8*9^n-1 should use 8*3^n-1 Last fiddled with by kar_bon on 2019-04-18 at 14:38 Reason: update |

The template to support Proth primes (k*2n+1) is created.
- Category for Proth primes with special subcategories like for Riesel primes - Overview as table More to come: - generalized Woodall/Cullen primes Last fiddled with by kar_bon on 2019-04-19 at 16:07 Reason: links to cat.& table |

New templates to simplify edits in a history of primes (example see here):
- three parameters each: date, n-value/range, contributor(list) - ensure same layout over all pages ToDo: - supporting links to thread/post in this forum Every contributor is collcted in the category "Person" with some data, if available. Contributors should be saved with real names only, if not available/known put name in brackets. A template for "Person" is needed later, where for example sorting will be automated. |

Added a template to create a link to some fora by giving a thread/post ID.
Example: The Williams sequence 4*5^n-1. Supported fora: - MersenneForum.org: default, only post ID needed others need a coding character and thread/post ID to differentiate: - Free-DC forum: "F#<thread ID>#<post ID>" - PrimeGrid forum: "P#<thread ID>#<post ID>" - NFS@Home forum: "N#<thread ID>#<post ID>" Examples are given in the template. So every post of MersenneForum with historic data can be presented in the history section of any prime sequence in the Prime-Wiki. Perhaps other templates other than "Checked to..." or "Found n=..." are and other fora or sites are possible. Last fiddled with by kar_bon on 2019-05-15 at 13:34 Reason: typo |

I've included the ability to store (Generalized) Woodall primes n*bn-1 (b>=2, n>=1 in the Wiki).
- the Woodall primes in original with history and Top5000 links or links to internal Riesel primes - the table for a quick overview generated automatically as usual - bases without any prime so far will be catagorized in a special category (for b=179 there's only n=2 up to n=250k) Some primes are quite hard to realize as a Gen.Woodall, see b=4. Last fiddled with by kar_bon on 2020-11-02 at 13:32 Reason: small corr. |

Same for (Generalized) Cullen primes n*bn+1 (b>=2, n>=1 in the Wiki).
- the Cullen primes in original with history and Top5000 links - the table for a quick overview generated automatically as usual - bases without any prime so far will be catagorized in a special category Last fiddled with by kar_bon on 2020-11-02 at 13:32 |

New template Infobox Person: displaying some data in a separate box on the right side of a person page.
- some personal data - web data like users from other projects/fora - sorting and categorizing automated (generated from page name) - if no real name available use nickname (page name in brackets) - special sort key if needed (like names with special characters) Some examples: - me - Fermat - Chief of GIMPS Further links could be added, like: - GIMPS account Advantages: - creating further tables/queries - history of prime pages with given contributors -> reservations available on person page (generated, see mine) - no need to be a user of the wiki, but available, too Suggestions? |

You should look at George's current wikipedia entry. I recently added a few things. I found something on the interwebs and then explored wikipedia some to confirm things. Then I edited his page and a few others that relate to him. |

Sure, there will no data shown in the Wiki, that are not available on any other page in the net.
I thought if anyone should join the Wiki and want to give his email on such person page, the ability to do so should be there, too. So only inserting a parameter like "Email" to fill in if needed. Another topic is to 'cipher" the email to avoid bots easily extract them from such pages. As registered Wiki user there's an email entry in the personal preferences which can be used to send emails to other Wiki users. This email is also not available to others. |

I've created a page for the Twin Prime Search from data here.
- list of primes (ASCII file) - list of checks for twins (ASCII file) - image can be updated by uploading like normal images. If ASCII files are too big, ZIPs can also be used or even PDFs. |
