I know next to nothing about the methods of formal logic the author is applying, or claims to be applying.
I tried reading through the Goldbach paper. I couldn't figure out where he was using the hypothesis that his variables were prime. I remember one of my profs saying something like, "You should always worry if you're proving something without using the hypotheses." My suspicion is that the methods the author is using simply do not apply to the questions he is claiming to address. |
