Is anyone playing this?

We just bought it. It seems pretty complex.

We are slightly familiar with this type of game but we have no experience with this particular one.

I have a lot of experience of civ 3 and a bit of 4 and 5. Don't start by putting the level to max.

I have the deluxe edition but I haven't played it yet. I'm still waiting for Aspyr to finish porting it.

We have about ten hours into it so far.

There are a few annoying bugs but they don't ruin the game.

The graphics are very nice. Especially the time-lapse animations when you build special sites. We have the graphics set to "ultra" at 2560×1440 and it taxes our GTX 1060 pretty hard.

We wish you could zoom out more and the angle of view to the map is a bit odd. Ideally, we would be able to rotate the map and change the view angle.

The AI is not very good, but it is okay.

It takes a very long time for the computer to make its move.

Sixty bucks for a game is at the high end of what we are willing to pay. If it continues to hold our interest the money won't be wasted. We are certain we have "unlocked" only a fragment of the complexity the game offers. Whether this is good or bad remains to be seen.

PS - The fact that it requires an Internet connection and a Steam account seems silly. If we didn't like the game there is absolutely no way to sell it.

We are at ~300 moves in our first game.

This is starting to feel like a job and not a game.

The advantage of a platform such as steam is that updates are automatic. It shouldn't be that long until that bug is fixed.
