Good idea for separate thread.
Wouldn't this be Team sieve #36? ![]() I'll start my range later in the day. |

Better extend mine to include 80-86M. My machines began working from 84-86M overnight... I'll stop them at RichD's range and see where I may want to start back up...

![]() I'll change the title accordingly. ![]() Edit: I actually have a few cores on a different computer available; I'll do 70-76M. How do we want to collect rels? I can put up an FTP server à la fivemack... Last fiddled with by Dubslow on 2013-01-24 at 21:13 |

Okay, since putting something on Sendspace et al. requires transferring the data over the internet twice, which is rather silly IMO, I've (finally) setup an FTP server akin to fivemack's.
On a *nix, you should be able to do something like the following: Code:
ftp dubslow.tk Connected to dubslow.tk. 220 Welcome to my home for lost and wayward relations! Name (dubslow.tk:bill): anonymous 331 Please specify the password. Password: 230 Login successful. Remote system type is UNIX. Using binary mode to transfer files. ftp> cd ts36 250 Directory successfully changed. ftp> put myrels.bz2 local: myrels.bz2 remote: myrels.bz2 200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV. 150 Ok to send data. 226 Transfer complete. For Windows (or for a GUI in Linux) I recommend FileZilla. I'm not sure how to use it, but it should be easy enough to figure out how to anonymously connect to dubslow.tk (and don't forget to put the rels in the "ts36" folder). .zip, .gz or .bz* are preferred. ![]() (Sendspace et al. links will still be accepted.) Even if it's "aliquot" or something similar, I would advise putting a password on your server. When I ran one to collect relations for a previous job, someone spent an hour pounding on the door to get in.....probably looking for someplace to park warez.
