I think the burst of activity since opening 1e6-2e6 has been great for interest in these sequences, but too much of a good thing isn't better.
I vote for opening a new 1e6 range every n months, and I nominate 6 for n. |

I vote for opening a new 1e6 range when the previous range is all at 120-digits size. (or at least 110)
There are now ~6,400 unreserved sequences below 110 digits. Who needs 20,000 sequences at 100-digit level? |

So start a new subproject of 110 digits, then when that's complete, see how it compares to n=6/otherwise reconsider?

There are currently no unreserved sequences below 135 digits. It's now 9 months after the last extension. And yafu@home wants to reserve more sequences between 100 and 135 digits. So it's time for another extension.
I prepared a script to add the 2e6-3e6 list from ugly2dog to the blue page gradually over 4 days. The current scripts will take care of mergers and terminations. The question is do we want to double check this list in case ugly missed some open sequences? |

There are about a thousand entries reserved by yafu@home which never moved for a single iteration over 6 months. Yeah - we definitely need more of that.

That is not true!
Keep in mind that seqences > 1.8e6 were reserved a day ago. Sorry that they didn't moved and that the blue page didn't fetch the move so far. |

That would explain it, - there are 1975 of them.
Code:
> grep 'yafu@home' AllSeq.json | awk '$1<1800000' AllSeq.yafu |wc -l 3167 > grep 'yafu@home' AllSeq.json | awk '$1>=1800000' AllSeq.yafu |wc -l 1975 Last fiddled with by Batalov on 2018-08-24 at 20:22 |

Also below 1.8e6 I reserved some in the last days to bring them to C145. This shouldn't be so much.
If they are reserved by yafu and haven't changed in 6+ month does NOT mean yafu has reserved them so long! Last fiddled with by yoyo on 2018-08-24 at 20:47 |

This quasi-database would benefit if it kept a record of when an owner change happened (just to have the reserve/unreserve date-stamp recorded; simply one more date field, not the history).
That would be a finessing. :-) |

I just started adding the original 2e6 list from ugly2dog to the official blue page. Only 100 sequences are added per hour to not interfere with normal updates too much. The list will be complete on Sunday evening (CEST).
Additionally we started an offline effort some time ago to double check the list (find open sequences that ugly2dog missed), which is still ongoing. |
