Default any good GNFS factoring programs?

Well, the only GNFS program I know of is the NFSNET client, but I'm looking for a program to factor numbers of my own liking.

Anyone know any such programs?

Thanks.

Well, the NFSNET client isn't a GNFS factoring program, it's "only" a linesiever

I know of two (G)NFS suites, the CWI suite and the Franke/Klienjung(/Bahr?) suite.

First of all, NFS factoring is NOT a fire-and-forget process. You don't nessesarily have to understand all the underlying mathematics, but you must have an idea of what is going on. However most of what you need to know, you will learn do doing.

I use a combination of the CWI and Franke suites: Franke's lattice siever and polynomial selection tools, and CWI post-processing.

You can get the CWI suite by dropping Herman te Riele at CWI a note, and you can get the Franke suite by sending a mail to Jens Franke or Thorsten Kleinjung. Note, however that the CWI suite does not include a very useful polynomial selection tool, so you need the Franke poly selection tool anyway. It seems to me though, that the rest of the postprocessing software from CWI is easier to control. Even though you do not have very much RAM you can still get away with the filtering.

For comparison of what you can expect, I was able to do a C135 GNFS factorization on my modest home computer (AMD Athlon 2000+ with 768MB RAM), and may be able to do numbers a little harder, but not much.
