Default Fermat Software research project

Hello,

Currently I'm studying a Computer Engineering Degree, and I have to do a research work to explain how the following software works:

  • GPU_ECM.
  • Feromant_CUDA.
  • mmff.
  • Ppsieve CUDA
I have searched the internet but I haven't found anything. Could someone give me some information about the operation of these algorithms?

Thank you,
Tony.

Pd: Please excuse my limited English.

Do you need a hint about how to use parameters and switches, or the algorithms behind them?
I s ee you chose four CUDA based programs: do you need to know how and what has been parallelized?

Hello Luigi, thanks for answering so quickly.

You are right, I have chosen these programs because my research work, titled "Parallel Fermat", is about algorithm parallelization so I need a brief explanation about how and what has been parallelized in them.

I can send you the current version of my research work, although regrettably it's in Spanish but I can try to translate it, if you want.

Cheers,
Tony.

Yes, please, I can read Spanish Once I read your work it will be easier to answer to your questions, although they all have a similar parallelization algorithm.
You can send it to l DOT morelli AT moreware DOT org

Default GPU-ECM Installing error

I tried to install GPU-ECM with the instruction ./configure --enable-gpu but I get the following error:
checking if nvcc know ptx instruction madc... no
configure: error: nvcc does not recognize ptx instruction madc, you should upgrade it

Do I have to update the cuda-toolkit version?

Thanks,

Tony.

P.S.: I enclose the complete result of the command
