Over the years, there have many people who have approached me thinking they were entitled to the source code. I'm not gonna the hide the fact that I've grown quite contempt of such people after seeing so many of them.

The project is closed sourced. If someone wants the source code, they are free to write their own. It's a lot of fun and a good learning experience anyway - which is why I wrote it in the first place.

Being smart and being mature are two entirely different things.

If many different people in different environments are all telling you the same thing then that is a sign.

On GitHub, the author lists two additional reasons for keeping it closed-source:

1. y-cruncher is used in HWBOT competitions, and releasing the source code would allow users to cheat.
2. The program contains proprietary code for computations. Alexander cannot legally release the source code even if he wanted to.
