It is very convenient and simple to inline log files or text files using the "code" tags.
However, posts like that take up a huge amount of space in the database. If you compress (bzip2, gzip and zip are supported) the log file or text file and attach it, the system will store the file in the file system rather than the database. So, if your data is more than 50 lines or so please consider this approach. A side benefit is you will know how many times the file has been accessed because it will appear with a counter. Edit: There is a new "Pastebin" BB Code that allows you to inline Pastebin snippets. This is probably the easiest method to inline log files and things like that. Thanks! ![]() |

Is there an issue with the forum or server? Using the usual methods, attachments don't post or even upload at the moment from here.

It's 100% repeatable from my laptop here on the CUDAPm1 thread.
I get a bit of a flash of "Performing a TLS handshake to www.mersenneforum.org..." but no upload traffic. Maybe the laptop, or my crappy slow ISP, or ?? Also occurs on this thread now. Thanks for testing it. Edit: shutdown and restart of the web browser resolved it. Case closed. Last fiddled with by kriesel on 2018-12-30 at 19:49 |
