The speculation has already begun, so let's start this thread.

Plus, I can no longer comment on the 2020 thread since it has been closed (with little discussion of said closure). I'm sure there will be more to be said about the 2020 election as events unroll.

I predict that there will be more than 3 significant candidates on the November ballot. Either the Rep's will spin off a new party or someone will run as an independent.

I can provide the docs. But only if you are really really 100% sure you actually want the job.

Seems like a terrible job IMO. Why would anyone want it?

I can tell you now that on the Republican side of the Presidential ticket will be Donald Trump or a Donald Trump wannabe, most likely Ron DeSantis. I hold little hope that the Republican party can end their cult worship of Trump before then.

My biggest fear before 2024 is SCOTUS dismantling what is left of the Voter Rights Act. Republicans across the country have been more than willing to suppress voting since they know it helps them win elections.

Did you mean more than 2? I agree with your explanation, but I don't think we'll get 4 serious candidates.

Thinking better of it, and if you put it that way, and joking apart, I think you are right. For sure that's not an easy breezy job to do.

But being there, it would be easier to hunt for your lair...
